1. Who we are
Keys & Co. ("we," "us," "our") is a real estate team of licensed salespersons and brokers registered with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), operating under and trading on behalf of Right at Home Realty, Brokerage. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use keysco.ca (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us, in accordance with Ontario's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email, phone number, and messages — when you submit a contact form, request a home valuation, register interest in a preconstruction project, apply to rent a property, book a showing, or sign up for a landlord, tenant, agent, or manager portal account. We also automatically collect limited technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) through cookies and similar technologies, described further in our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to your inquiries, connect you with a Keys & Co. agent or an independent mortgage professional, process rental applications and maintenance requests, operate the landlord/tenant/agent portals, send service-related communications, and improve the Site. Where you've asked to be contacted about a specific listing, project, or service, your information may be shared internally so the right team member can follow up — including, where applicable, the agent assigned to your inquiry.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We may share it with: Right at Home Realty, Brokerage (our supervising brokerage); service providers who help us operate the Site and our business (such as hosting, email delivery, and AI-assisted drafting tools, all bound by confidentiality obligations); mortgage professionals or other licensed third parties you've asked to be connected with; and MLS data providers to the extent required to process a listing inquiry or transaction. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Keys & Co., our clients, or others.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by RECO record-keeping obligations, tax law, or other applicable regulation, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent for us to continue using it (subject to legal or contractual restrictions), by contacting us using the details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
